Description
Learn about the status of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion and how local business can prepare for the local opportunities that may come with the project should it be approved at this light lunch reception and presentation.
Kinder Morgan Canada is proposing an expansion of its existing 1,150-kilometre Trans Mountain Pipeline, which runs from Strathcona County (near Edmonton) to Burnaby. If approved, the proposed $5.4 billion project would increase the capacity of the pipeline that transports a variety of energy products for local and international markets.
Join the Burnaby Board of Trade as we welcome Kinder Morgan Canada?s President Ian Anderson to this event, where he will describe the various stages and types of jobs, procurement possibilities, and local workforce spending involved in building a pipeline. The presentation will include a progress report on the proposed project and how businesses in the Burnaby area can prepare to participate in the project.
