Dr. Paola Ardiles Gamboa of Simon Fraser University, and Founder of Bridge for Health will help you unpack assumptions, biases, and privileges' in the workplace. She will share evidence on how freedom from racism, discrimination, and violence contribute to mental well-being and conclude with ideas on fostering a supportive workplace culture by building trust, inclusion, and well-being.

About the presenter:
Dr. Paola Ardiles Gamboa MHSc MBA PhD, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Special Projects Advisor to the Vice President, People, Equity and Inclusion at Simon Fraser University, is a multiple award-winning practitioner scholar recognized for her innovative, collaborative, and inter-social approaches in health promotion policy, practice, research, and education. In 2013 she founded Bridge for Health, as a local and global self-organized networking promoting public engagement in health. Additionally, Dr. Ardiles was recently awarded the 2022 West Coast Teaching Excellence Award for her equity-centered pedagogical approaches and work in creating an inclusive and safe learning environment to promote wellbeing.
