About the Presenters

Anthony will share insights on how local businesses can access the IRAP grant to support their cybersecurity initiatives and take practical steps to strengthen their digital defences. With more than a decade of experience leading cybersecurity and compliance programs for organizations such as the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC and London Drugs, Anthony specializes in helping small and medium-sized businesses build strong, sustainable cybersecurity foundations. He also teaches at the University of British Columbia and Vancouver Community College, where he develops programs that prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

We’ve invited John Leishman to deliver the hands-on, practical portion of the session. As the founder of Tursa Group, John has over two decades of experience helping organizations improve their digital maturity and cybersecurity readiness. Having assessed more than 290 Canadian companies through both provincial and federal programs, John brings real-world insights into the challenges small businesses face when implementing cybersecurity measures.
