As of November 1, 2025, Sunoco LP has successfully completed its acquisition of Parkland Corporation. Sunoco LP is the largest fuel distributor in the Americas and leading operator of critical energy infrastructure with operations spanning 32 countries and territories across North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. 

In British Columbia, Parkland proudly operates the Burnaby Refinery, a vital part of the province’s energy system and one of Canada’s few remaining West Coast refineries. The facility, with a processing capacity of approximately 55,000 barrels per day, supplies a significant share of the region’s gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel-estimated at nearly one‑third of BC’s domestically supplied transportation fuels.

The Burnaby Refinery has been an integral part of the community since 1935 and continues to support British Columbia’s economy and climate goals through safe, reliable operations and ongoing investment, including commitments to advancing low‑carbon fuel production.
